Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast thinly sliced, about ¼ inch
  • 1 head broccoli cut into florets
  • 1 Tablespoon avocado oil can substitute any vegetable oil

Chicken Marinade

Honey Garlic Sauce

Instructions

  • In a medium size bowl, combine the ingredients for the marinade and add in the thinly sliced chicken breast. I recommend letting this marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to overnight. Otherwise, you can let this sit while you prep the other ingredients.
  • Combine the ingredients for the honey garlic sauce in a small bowl. Set aside. Note: This recipe calls for less soy sauce so it doesn't overpower the honey flavor. Add salt to taste in the sauce or season right before serving.
  • Steam your broccoli - Add an inch of water to a small pot and bring to a boil. Use a steamer basket and add in the broccoli. Let it steam for 5 minutes or until tender but still crisp. If you don't have a steamer basket, you can boil your broccoli in about ½ inch of boiling water for about 3 - 5 minutes.
  • Heat a wok or pan over high heat and add the oil. Wait until the pan is hot and then lay the chicken pieces flat in a single layer. In order to get a good sear, don't crowd the pan and leave the chicken pieces alone until you get a golden brown sear, anywhere from 30 seconds to 1 minute. Flip over the chicken and add in the honey garlic sauce. Continue to stir fry together for 1 to 2 minutes or until the sauce thickens. Serve with steamed broccoli and rice.

Notes

This recipe calls for less soy sauce so it doesn't overpower the honey flavor. Add salt to taste in the sauce or right before serving.
